I had no idea this was practically in my backyard!
What a gorgeous place! I was so moved I bought a park pass for the year!
You can't swim, walk, wade or otherwise touch the falls. I know they don't look treacherous now, but the ranger said it's very slippery and when it is moving, it has whirlpools that suck you under. Just don't do it. (Don't tell her, but I washed my feet off in a side stream. I know, I know! I'm such a rebel!) There is a swimming area downstream and lots of the regular state park accoutrement.
And these guys. A flock of vultures sulking in a tree. They never could get over being beaten out by seagulls.
Trying to remember where I've been or guess where I'm going? Check out the list here!
